Baskets work so well in fall decor. With both leaves in, our dining room table comfortable seats 10 people. This very long basket works perfectly for centerpieces on such a long table. (Note: Be sure to keep all wooden handled pitch forks away from lit candles) ;)
In anticipation of this tablescape, I spray painted a set of old, scratched chargers a "Hammered Copper" color. I
My mother gave me a few of these plates. They belonged to her mother. The pattern is "Windsor Derby" by Thos Hughes & Son Ltd, England. My mother and sister have searched many antique stores, and have found a few more plates, a platter, and one cup and saucer. They have gifted them to me for my birthday and Christmas several years. I love them!
I used the lone cup and saucer as part of the centerpiece.
I've shared with you all before that I have a weakness for pitchers. This is such a lovely fall one that mom gave me for Christmas last year.
I trust all our Canadian readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving this month. If you haven't had a chance, I recommend you read the post Lisa shared called, Trashy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving
The year has turned its circle,
The seasons come and go.
The harvest all is gathered in
And chilly north winds blow.
Orchards have shared their treasures,
The fields, their yellow grain,
So open wide the doorway ---
Thanksgiving comes again!

Your tablescape is stunning for Thankgiving! It looks like a perfect Pottery Barn design! The centerpiece with the basket and all of the natural elements gives me really good ideas for my own Thanksgiving table! (I'm hosting for the very first time!!) I also love the cloth and runner you used, and the baby pumpkins on everyone's plates. I can't say enough how lovely it all looks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Leslie
